Meet our Team

Don Summerhays

Experience
Don brings over 20 years of professional management experience and expertise to Arctic Fire & Security with over 20 of those years dedicated to the fire and security industry. He is responsible for managing all aspects of fire and security projects, business and project specific financials, sales related activities and proposal development, system design, systems installation, testing, and field support activities.

Education
Don is certified in several manufacturers’ systems fire life safety equipment, access control systems (electronic locks), closed-circuit television (CCTV), and intrusion detection systems.  He currently holds a level III NICET certification with the State of Alaska fire alarm permit card.

Areas of Interest
Don enjoys the Alaska’s outdoors and takes great pride in boating in Prince William Sound and Resurrection Bay with his family on his 45 foot Defever pilothouse trawler.

American Indian Heritage
Don is a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, a federally recognized Indian Tribal with approximately 29,000 members headquartered in Shawnee Oklahoma. Don is a member in good standing, has deep interest and respect for our tribal and has strong entrepreneurial spirit. Don has received his Indian name Badwet (Firekeeper-Bod-wet- understanding the dual nature of fire- beauty comfort versus destruction).

Brandon Skeel

Experience
Brandon brings over 20 years of professional management experience and expertise to Arctic Fire & Security with over 12 of those years dedicated to the fire and security industry. He is responsible for managing all aspects of fire and security projects, business and project specific financials, sales related activities and proposal development, systems installation, testing, and field support activities.

Education
Brandon holds a Bachelors of Science in Business from the University of Idaho, Professional in Human Resources (PHR), numerous fire and security systems factory certifications, and is currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management at the University of Alaska Anchorage.  

Areas of Interest
As a native to Alaska, Brandon takes advantage of the great outdoors with his family by camping, fishing, snowboarding, playing hockey and golf in his free time.

John Summerhays

Experience

John brings over 20 years of hands-on experience in the building automation controls and fire alarm systems industry to Arctic Fire & Security. Over the course of John’s experience, he has proficiently performed installations, systems programming, performed service repairs and troubleshooting, excelled in provided exceptional customer service to a diverse customer base in direct digital control (DDC), fire alarm, and video surveillance systems.

Education

John currently holds a level II NICET certification and a State of Alaska fire alarm permit card (NICET II Certified - License# 114544; State of Alaska Fire System Permit 1-B Certified - License# AK# 07-047). He has also attended numerous courses in the design and system programming of DDC systems, fire alarm and video surveillance.

Areas of interest

John has up in grown up Alaska and has resided in the State for more than 43 years. On his off time, John enjoys fishing and hunting with friends and family.
